Investors inspired by improved Industrial Policy: CM Hemant Soren

Ranchi: Chief Minister Hemant Soren presided over the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Industries Department and Varun Beverages Limited, the bottling company for PepsiCo, at the CM’s residential office on Monday. During the event, CM Hemant Soren highlighted the state government’s commitment to establishing more industries across various sectors, thanks to the formulation of a robust industrial policy. He expressed that the new policy has successfully attracted interest from numerous reputable industrial entities, encouraging investment in Jharkhand. In recent months, several well-known industry organizations have expanded their operations in Jamshedpur and other locations.

The Chief Minister emphasized the government’s initiative to ensure that 75 percent of jobs in industrial institutions established within the state are reserved for local residents. He also assured a secure environment for investors, along with the implementation of this policy.

The event was attended by Chief Secretary L Khyangte, Secretary to Chief Minister Vinay Kumar Choubey, Secretary of Industries Department Jitendra Singh, Director of Industries Bhor Singh Yadav, MD of JIADA Shashi Ranjan, Chairman of Varun Beverages Limited Ravikant Jaipuria, Secretary Devyani Kankhoje, Chief Finance Officer Pradeep Goyal, Chief Operating Officer Vishwas Aggarwal, General Manager Ish Sethi, among others.
