Jamshedpur, May 2:  “No work is insignificant. All labour that uplifts humanity has dignity,” observed Principal, Fr Vinod Fernandes, SJ as students and teachers of Loyola High School felicitated the subordinate staff during the celebration of International Labour Day on Monday, May 1.

“Affectionately called, ‘Bhaiyas and Didis,’ the subordinate staff members have always been treated affectionately and respectfully and this is a part of our tradition that we have lovingly upheld through time,” remarked a Std XII student.

Several programmes were lined up at Loyola to salute and acknowledge the indispensible contributions of the Bhaiyas and Didis towards the day-to-day activities of the School.

Speeches highlighting the selfless devotion of the subordinate staff members towards execution of their responsibilities, presentation of a Nukkad Natak highlighting the dignity of labour, an emotional poem recited by a student and honouring of Class IV employees by Std XII students comprised the highlights of the occasion.

The subordinate staff members were made to feel very special. Principal, Fr Vinod Fernandes, SJ, congratulated the students for their excellent efforts towards celebrating May Day in a befitting manner and presented mementos to the Class IV employees as tokens of love, affection and their importance as part of the School’s fraternity.
