Jamshedpur, June 15: A new medical college will be opened by the health department near Sadar Hospital in Khasmahal, Jamshedpur.
Joint secretary of the health department Lalit Mohan Shukla arrived on Saturday to inspect the site of this medical college to be built on 25 acres in Khasmahal. He saw the place behind the Sadar Hospital. Along with this, he also saw the 100-bed prefabricated hospital being built in the hospital premises.
He directed to start the hospital as soon as possible so that the patients can get its benefit. Along with this, a 100-bed ward is to be built above the Sadar Hospital.
He said that overall Sadar Hospital has to be made of 350 beds, so that a medical college can be opened. Apart from this, the facilities of blood bank, ICU, dialysis center, oxygen plant are as per the standard. The Joint Secretary inspected the hospital along with taking information about the facilities available to the patients in Sadar Hospital.
He gave many guidelines to Civil Surgeon Dr. Sahir Pal so that the patients can get maximum benefit.
