Jamshedpur, July 20: Inner Wheel Club of Jamshedpur East organised a child safety awareness session on the topic “Good Touch and Bad Touch” at Shahid Nirmal Mahto High School, Ghorabandha. The session aimed to educate young children about personal safety and empower them to recognise, respond to, and report inappropriate behaviour.
The programme was inaugurated by Club President Dr. Meena Mukherjee, who highlighted the importance of early education in ensuring children’s safety. She also thanked the school administration for their cooperation in making the event successful.
Past President Rama Khanna conducted the session, addressing the students in a warm and age-appropriate manner. Her clear and sensitive communication helped the children understand this important subject with ease.
Adding an interactive element, club member Vinita used flip cards and charts to engage the children and visually explain key concepts. The session was well-received and kept the students actively involved.
As part of the outreach, “Meri Kitab” notebooks were distributed to 67 students, reflecting the club’s commitment to both awareness and education.
