Jamshedpur, Nov 17: A joint meeting between the members of Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce & Industry (SCCI), and Adityapur Small Industries Association (ASIA) was held to discuss common issues prevailing upon the Trade & Industry at Chamber Bhavan in Bistupur.
The meeting headed by President of SCCI saw a presence of common parlance among all the members �Build Airport, Save Jamshedpur�. The members demanded from the state and central government to build the much needed airport and help the trade and industry in the region to prosper.
The meet also discussed several issues including the slowdown; Sonthalia said that as the small scale industry is depended on Tata Steel and Tata Motors to create a bonding so that local industries should be provided support. As the condition of NH33 is poor the big industry people don�t want to come and invest in the city.
The members also demanded rail network to all the main cities of the country. Bureau of Indian Standard branch should be opened in the city.
The next union budget should be trade & industry friendly and tax level should be increased. Sonthalia added that to set up industry here businessmen have to face several hurdles; government should see to it that these hurdles should be removed.
