Individual contribution must for community progress: Banna Gupta

Jamshedpur, March 1: The East Singhbhum branch of Akhil Bharatiya Tailik Sahu Mahasabha (ABTSM) today organized a community get-together-cum-picnic at the Sakchi Gandak Road ground where the chief guest was Jharkhand Health minister Banna Gupta. The get-together function was chaired by district ABTSM president Rakesh Sahu and conducted by Chandan Kashi.

In his address, Banna Gupta observed, �Every individual should contribute in the cause of the community for its progress and development. Unless people march in tandem progress can never be attained.�

Earlier, in his welcome address, Rakesh Sahu stated, �Education is a must to ensure development and progress. We can achieve all our targets through education. We have to be aware of this which would enable us to identify and get our rights.�

The elite of the community that included Ashok Sao, Chandrika Sao, Rajkishore Sao, Pramod Gupta, Rajesh Prasad Gupta, Videshi Sao, Ramkripal Sao, Rajballabh Sao, Balram Sao and women�s team members Rupmani Sao, Anita Sao, Saraswati Sao and Chitra Sao also spoke on the occasion and reiterated that for a community to progress cooperation was a must.

Many sports and other competitive events were organized on the occasion. The first three winners in the various categories were awarded prizes. 20 students of the community who had scored more than 80 percent marks in the metric and intermediate examinations were presented shields.

Three thousand people attended the get-together and picnic organized today. The organizers were the district ABTSM general secretary Manoj Gupta, treasurer Suresh Kumar, Virendra Sao, Ranjit Kumar, Ajay Kumar Sao, Suraj Prasad, Vijay Sao, Dipak Sao, Parmanand Sao, Rahul Kumar, Vivek Gupta, Mukesh Kumar Sao, Shibu Kumar Sao, Satyanarayan Prasad, Kamta Prasad, Suresh Prasad, Ashok Sahu, Manoj Kumar, Anita Sah and Kajal Sah. The vote of thanks was proposed by Suresh Kumar.
