Jamshedpur, Dec 9 : Tata Steel Jamshedpur will host the 65th Operating Committee Meeting (OCM) of Blast Furnaces and Sinter Plants at the Shavak Nanavati Technical Institute (SNTI) from December 10-11.
The annual forum brings together experts from India’s top steel producers to foster collaboration, exchange best practices, and explore sustainable, efficient solutions in ironmaking.
The event will be hosted by Surajit Sinha, Chairman – 65th OCM, and inaugurated by Sandip Kar, Executive Director, RDCIS, SAIL, and Chaitanya Bhanu, Vice President Operations, Tata Steel Jamshedpur.

Over two days, specialists from SAIL, Tata Steel, JSW, Jindal Steel, and Jayaswal Neco will discuss Reduction of Solid Fuel Consumption in Sinter and Failure Analysis & Life Enhancement of Blast Furnace Cooling, aiming to strengthen knowledge sharing and promote operational excellence.
Earlier, Tata Steel officials, including G.S.R. Murthy, Pradeep Chaudhary, Vipul M. Koranne, Kamma Ramakrishna Rao, and Arunkumar C., addressed the media, highlighting the company’s focus on innovation, safety, and technology-driven improvements in Blast Furnace and Sinter Plant operations.
