Jamshedpur, Dec 16: The children of 20 city schools paid rich tributes to the martyred jawans of Indian forces who sacrificed their lives during the India-Pakistan War in 1971. They were told how the Indian jawans defeated over 93,000 Pakistani soldiers in merely 14 days. The war had begun on 3rd December and ended on 16th December.
Members of Poorva Sainik Seva Parishad (PSSP) visited the schools and read out �Vijay Sandesh� (message of victory) to students, teachers and other citizens. They went to Chinmaya Vidyalaya, South Park, NTTF Golmuri, KPS NML, AIWC School of Excellence, JPS Baridih, Christian Club School, Tinplate, Andhra Madhya Vidyalaya and Girls Middle School, Jugsalai.
PSSP members gathered at Shahid Smriti Sthal, Golmuri, and paid tributes to the martyred Indian jawans. They raised patriotic slogans and took pledge to honour and help the family members of the martyrs. They included Neelkamal Mahato, Ghanshyam Prasad Singh, Sidhnath Singh, Tapas Majumdar, Avdhesh Kumar, Krishna Mohan Singh, Rana Kumar, Madan Sah, Janakdev Singh, Pankaj Sharma, Neeraj Singh and Bhuvneshwar Pandey.
