India wins 17 medals at Asian Youth Para Games

 

Jamshedpur: Team India delivered an outstanding performance at the Asian Youth Para Games Dubai 2025 International Tournament, winning a total of 17 medals, including eight gold, three silver and six bronze.


Among the gold medallists were Jatin Azad, Shivam Yadav, Kartik Suhag, Shanthiya Vishwanathan, Premchand Potnuru and Nithya Sre Sumathy Sivan, along with successful doubles combinations featuring Indian shuttlers in various categories. Their consistent performances highlighted India’s growing strength in para badminton.
The silver medals were secured by Abhijeet Sakhuja, Vijender and their doubles pairing, while bronze medals were won by Harshit Choudhary, Shivam Yadav, Shivangi Pandey, Manisha Patel and other doubles teams.
K. Prabhakar Rao, Secretary of the Jharkhand Badminton Association, congratulated the players for their remarkable achievements. He said the success reflects the hard work, discipline and rising standard of para badminton in Jharkhand and across the country, and expressed confidence that the athletes will continue to excel at international platforms.
