Congress Leaders Review MGNREGA in West Singhbhum

Jamshedpur: During a 10-day training camp for newly appointed District Presidents from Jharkhand and Odisha, Congress leaders conducted an in-depth discussion on rural development schemes in a village within the Sonua block. The camp forms part of the ‘Sangathan Srijan Abhiyan’ (Organization Building Campaign).

The session focused specifically on the utility of MGNREGA and identified existing anomalies in the VB GRAM G scheme. Leaders highlighted challenges regarding execution, transparency, and the accessibility of benefits at the grassroots level. They stressed the urgent need for improved monitoring and accountability.

Senior leaders, including K. Raju (Permanent Invitee to the All India Congress Committee and In-charge of the Vichar Vibhag), Sachin Rao, Dr. Siribella Prasad, and Bhupendra Maravi, attended the programme. District Presidents from across Jharkhand and Odisha participated actively in the discussions, with President Parvinder Singh leading the East Singhbhum delegation.
