Incident of gunfire Near Dr. Prabhat Ranjan’s residence in Deoghar raises concerns

Deoghar: A troubling incident occurred in Rani Kothi Williams Town, under Deoghar city police station, on Tuesday night when two rounds of gunfire were reported in front of the residence of Sadar Hospital Deputy Superintendent, Dr. Prabhat Ranjan. The incident took place around quarter to nine, as two individuals on a motorcycle allegedly fired two rounds before swiftly leaving the scene.
Dr. Prabhat Ranjan, who also operates a clinic from his residence, was not present at home during the incident. The personnel in his clinic informed him of the situation through mobile communication. The motive behind the firing remains unclear, and the perpetrators managed to escape before the police arrived.
This incident has raised concerns among the local community and the medical fraternity, especially given the proximity to a healthcare professional’s residence. The police, led by the city police station in-charge Rajeev Kumar, conducted an investigation at the scene, recovering a shell from the incident site.
