INCAB Industries Likely to Resume Operations Within Three Months; Vedanta Team Conducts Inspection in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur: After remaining closed for several years, INCAB Industries Limited is expected to restart operations within the next three months, with revival efforts gaining momentum. A seven-member team from Vedanta Limited’s management recently conducted a detailed inspection of the company’s premises, factory units, and residential colony as part of the revival process.

The inspection was completed on Friday, after which the team returned. Based on their findings, a comprehensive assessment report will be submitted to the company’s headquarters, following which the final roadmap for revival will be approved.

During the inspection, the Vedanta team reviewed the dilapidated condition of buildings, collapsed structures, and the status of outdated machinery. Plans were also prepared to restore power supply, improve water infrastructure, and strengthen security arrangements across the campus.

Currently, repair work on the boundary walls and rooftops of the factory premises has begun. Surveys have also been conducted for the installation of new machinery and the removal of obsolete equipment.

From the company’s side, Captain Dhananjay Mishra and his team are monitoring the progress and preparing a detailed compliance report, which must be completed before operations resume.

The National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) has directed that the company’s operations be restarted within three months. In line with this order, teams of contractors, supervisors, and engineers are actively engaged in inspections and technical evaluations.

Meanwhile, the process of clearing long-pending dues under various heads has also commenced. Payments related to security guards, legal services, and essential utilities such as electricity and water, which have accumulated over the years, are being processed.

Additionally, a report on pending dues of nearly 1,600 employees from INCAB’s Jamshedpur, Pune, and Kolkata units has been prepared. Once the updated report is submitted by the management, disbursement of outstanding payments to employees will begin. As per the NCLT directive, all pending dues must be cleared within 90 days.

INCAB workers’ leader Ramvinod Singh said that preparations to restart the company are progressing on schedule and expressed optimism that operations would resume within the stipulated time frame.
