Jamshedpur, Apr 3: The Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee (JNAC) will soon impose strict fines on individuals and advertisers placing posters and banners in unauthorized locations. A fine of Rs. 2000 per banner will be charged and illegal advertisements will be removed.
City Manager Jyotipunj Pandey stated, “We will take action against posters and banners put up without JNAC’s approval. Advertisers will be fined and their materials confiscated.”
Several high-traffic areas have been marked for enforcement, including Sakchi Main Road, Ambagan, Bistupur Market and Agrico Chowk. Despite earlier warnings and removals, illegal banners have resurfaced, prompting this decisive action. The JNAC urges compliance to maintain the city’s aesthetics and avoid penalties.
