Illegal distilleries busted in Kovali

Jamshedpur: Excise department carried out a joint raid in Kovali and busted an illicit liquor den with the help of district police. A huge volume of hooch recovered from the den was thrown away while a distillery being run illegally was also destroyed, sources said.
Sources said the officials had got a tip-off about illicit liquor being manufactured in Dagirsai village of Kovali. Soon a team was set up to raid the place. The team seized and destroyed 5000 kg jawa mahua used in manufacturing country-made liquor.
