Jamshedpur, Nov 19: Acting on the directions of Election Commission to promote voting rights among the masses, Women’s wing of International Human Rights Association (IHRA) on Wednesday visited 15 villages of Mango, Pardih, MGM, Patamda, Bodam block and advised the villagers to exercise their voting rights.
Present on the occasion National general Secretary of IHRA, Usha Singh said that in a democracy voting is every person’s right and one should choose his/her candidate.
Singh urged the women villagers to make every vote count and appealed the villagers to make aware every resident of the village to vote.
Singh also informed that the women from IHRA will make people aware to cast their vote by visiting different areas of the district till November 30. On the occasion District President of IHRA Women wing Chandana Chatterjee, former district President Sushmita Sarkar, Prabha Tiwary, Flora Gill, Sanju Kalindi, Malti Tiwary, Alisha Tirkey, Shalu, Nishant, Shashi, Rashmi, Shobha, Dharmpal, Uma Koda, Harjeet Kaur, Geeta Aalda, Guruwari and others were present.
