IED weighing 8 kgs recovered in Jharkhand’s West Singhbhum

Jamshedpur : In a significant development, security forces engaged in the joint campaign against the banned CPI (Maoists) Naxalite organization in the Kolhan area have successfully recovered 8 kgs of Improvised Explosive Device (IED). This development comes amidst the continued subversive activities of top Naxalite leaders, including Misir Besra, Anmel, Maechhu, Chaman, Kande, Ajay Mahta, Sagden Angriya, and Ashwin, along with their squad members.

The joint campaign, initiated on October 10, targets villages under the Gailkera police station, covering areas such as Kuida, Chhota Kuida, Maradiri, Meralgada, Hathiburu, Tilayabeda, Boypaissang, Katamba, Bayhatu, Bora Ey, Husipi, Rajabasa, Tumbahaka, Regada, Patatorab, Ga Gaburu, Luiya, and other border regions. The primary goal is to enhance security measures in forested and hilly terrains.

On Saturday, within the ongoing campaign near the village Maradiri, security forces successfully detected and recovered 01 PNMC (Portable Non-Metallic Case) previously installed by Naxalites for targeting purposes. The bomb disposal squad efficiently neutralized the threat, emphasizing the commitment of the joint campaign in countering the Naxal insurgency. The joint campaign maintains a vigilant stance to uphold security in the region.
