Seraikela, March 15: The parents of an Indian Air Force (IAF) jawan Amit Kumar Sharma were reportedly taken hostage by their relatives for two hours in Singhpur village of Seraikela near Jamshedpur. The two, Bhavesh Kumar Sharma and Asha Devi, were rescued by police, sources said.
According to sources, the relatives of Bhavesh Kumar Sharma had alleged abused the couple and also thrown stones on them. It all began when the couple was overseeing a soil leveling work in their farm. Amit informed Manohar Kumar, SHO of Seraikela police station, about the incident and sought his help to rescue his parents. He said his relatives had smashed the asbestos roof of his house by pelting stones.
