Jamshedpur: Marking Hul Diwas, Deputy Commissioner Karn Satyarthi paid homage to the legendary tribal leaders Sido and Kanhu Murmu by garlanding their statue at Bhuiyadih and offering heartfelt tributes.
Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner said the Hul rebellion against British rule remains a landmark chapter in India’s freedom struggle, where countless tribal heroes and heroines laid down their lives with extraordinary courage and patriotism.
He called upon citizens to draw inspiration from the sacrifice and leadership of Sido-Kanhu, Chand-Bhairav, Phoolo-Jhano, and many other martyrs who ignited the spirit of resistance. “This day reminds us that countless heroes of Jharkhand made the ultimate sacrifice for the country’s freedom. It is our duty to honor their memory by working towards social harmony, justice, and equality,” he said.
