Horticulture Society calls for sustainable use of natural resources

Jamshedpur, June 26: Horticulture Society Jamshedpur in partnership with Govt. Schools and Community Centre Launched World Environment Awareness Programme 2015 on at Shardamani School, Aam Bagan, Sakchi on Friday, June 26. At the event Horticulture Society presented a Short Skit based on�environmental awareness to conserve natural�resources and towards move towards sustainable use of resources.

School Children and Citizen of Jamshedpur, were made aware of the program through tree plantation and powerful dance drama composed by students of Mass Com Department, Karim City College, Jamshedpur.

During the welcome address Capt. Dhananjay Mishra, President, Horticulture Society Jamshedpur�and Jusco official spoke about the importance of more and more tree plantation and made a point to all students that they should actively take part in their day to day activity to conserve natural resources like water, electricity etc.

He appealed the students to plant trees and help keep the environment safe and clean. Chief Guest for the function Mukesh kumar Sinha , District Education Officer, Jamshedpur encouraged the student towards more and more tree plantation and conversation of natural resources with sustainable good use of natural resources and� said that he will take all necessary step to introduce such programmes in more �Govt. Schools to create environmental awareness among the children.

The event saw participation of more than 500 school students. The event was also graced by Mrs. Ruchi Narendran, Chairperson, Horticulture Society Jamshedpur who on the occasion planted a sapling in move towards greener future. The programme was successfully conducted by� Baren Kumar� Maity, Gl. Secretary of the society.�
