Jamshedpur: A preparatory meeting was held on Sunday at the Burmamines Club House under the chairmanship of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha leader Mahavir Murmu to discuss the successful organisation of a blood donation camp on January 11, 2026. The camp will be organised on the birth anniversaries of Guru Shibu Soren, regarded as the architect of Jharkhand, and martyr Sunil Mahato.
During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on motivating people to participate in blood donation. It was decided that meetings would be organised in bastis and tolas in and around Jamshedpur to encourage residents to donate blood. Publicity of the camp will also be carried out through banners and posters. The participants further resolved that attractive gifts would be given to blood donors this year to encourage greater participation.
Addressing the meeting, Mahavir Murmu said that for the past 12 years, blood donation camps were successfully organised on Guru Shibu Soren’s birthday, and people prayed for his long life. “This year, Guru Ji is no longer with us. By organising a successful blood donation camp, we will collectively pay our heartfelt tribute to him,” he said.
Several party leaders and workers attended the meeting, including Dal Govind Lohara, Goldy Tiwari, Anand Srivastava, Dhananjay Singh, Abhishek Singh, Pradeep Singh, Satnam Singh, Rupesh Ahuja, Pratik Singh, Dinkar, Bablu Tudu, Salkhu Tudu, Manoj Tanti, Chandan Pandey, Abhay Pandey, Amit Sharma, Mohammad Mainul, Vasu Rao, Sanjay Kumar, Rinku Singh, Fateh Lohar, Anan Agrawal, Shriharinath Pandit and others.
