Jamshedpur: Home Guard jawans today protested nonpayment of their salaries over the past two months. They said that as a result of their salaries being held up they were finding it difficult to meet the basic needs of their families. They said that as per the directives of the Deputy Commissioner, they had performed their duties during the rising pandemic times and had risked their lives to their commitment towards service. But they said that the DC had told them that their salaries had not yet been sanctioned. The Home Guard jawans met the DC and demanded immediate disbursal of their salaries.
