Homage paid to Kartik Oraon in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, October 29: Tribal Oraon Samaj Samiti organized a program at Old Sitaramdera on Sunday and paid tribute to the great educationist cum former Union Minister Kartik Oraon on his 99th birth anniversary.

In the program, first of all the guests garlanded his statue. After this the speakers threw light on his biography. It was told that Kartik Oraon known Baba Saheb was rich in extraordinary talent.

Born in an ordinary family, he received higher education, studied abroad and became a successful engineer. After this he came into politics for social upliftment and contributed as a minister of the Government of India.

At the end, laddus were distributed among all the people and everyone was appealed to light a lamp outside their house in the evening.

Sitaramdera police station in-charge Bhushan Kumar was present as the chief guest in the program and Shanti Tirkey, wife of late Budhan Tirkey, was the special guest.
