Jamshedpur, April 11: Students of Standard 2 at Carmel Junior College, Sonari, demonstrated a commendable sense of social responsibility by actively participating in a Service Learning project titled “Celebrate Together, Stay Together.” The initiative was conducted under the guidance of Principal Sister Sheral and Vice-Principal Sister Amla Rani.

As part of the project, the young students collected food grains, showcasing a strong spirit of sharing and compassion. The collected items were donated to the Sonari Gurudwara, where they will be used in preparing the Vaisakhi Langar—a community meal that serves people from all backgrounds without discrimination.

Through this meaningful activity, students imbibed essential values such as empathy, kindness and community service. They also learned that even small efforts could contribute significantly to the welfare of society.

The school management appreciated the initiative, noting that such programs helped instill a sense of social responsibility, unity and sensitivity among students. The project not only supported a noble cause but also strengthened the spirit of cooperation and togetherness among the children.

Service Learning teacher Padmaja, along with the Class 2 teachers, played a crucial role in successfully organizing and executing the project.
