Jamshedpur: The birth anniversary of the former Indian Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri was celebrated with fervour at Chitragupt Bhavan, Sonari, under the aegis of Akhil Bharatiya Kayastha Mahasabha, East Singhbhum, on Sunday.
The outfit president Anup Ranjan and other senior members garlanded a portrait of the former PM and lit the ceremonial lamp.
Light was thrown on the life of late Shastri by the outfit members.
Among others present on the occasion Shyam Bihari Lal, Ajay Srivastava, Sanjeev Sinha, Mithilesh Srivastava, Ajay Srivastava, Gautam Sinha, Preeti Sinha, Vikrant Shekhar and Shashi Bhushan Prasad.
