Jamshedpur, March 22: Jamshedpur Women’s University hosted a Holi Milan ceremony, marked by exciting cultural presentations. Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Anjila Gupta extended warm wishes for the festival.
Several programmes were organized on the occasion. Political Science student Anjali Soren presented a painting depicting facets of Maharashtra lifestyles, to the Vice Chancellor. Eminent singer, Dr Sanatan Deep and his students of the Music department presented Sufi compositions and other traditional songs that added to the festive ambience. Graduate students presented a Rajasthani dance performance directed by Sudha Deep. The students of Mass Communications presented a dance item with the essence of Mathura in a blend of Indian classical and Western dance format. The dance recital was directed by Shalini Prasad. To add to the sensational presentations were dance numbers by the Bio Tech department students who set the Holi spirit on a high with vigorous dance items including the traditionally pulsating popular song and dance ‘Jogila Sa Ra Ra.’

A group dance by the students of the MBA department and a song presentation by NSS students were the other highlights of the exciting fares. Registrar Rajendra Kumar Jaiswal delivered the vote of thanks, acknowledging the collective efforts of all involved.

Student Welfare Dean Dr. Kishwar Ara, Finance Officer Dr. Javed Ahmed, Controller of Examinations Dr. Rama Subramanian, Development Officer Dr. Salomi Kujur, Dr. Sabiha Yunus, CVC Dr. Annapurna Jha, Dr. Rizwana Parveen, along with other officials, faculty deans, teachers, non-teaching staff, and students were present on the occasion.
