Jamshedpur, March 22. Om Prakash Singh, 32, a contract worker of Ganesh Construction Company, was injured in an accident that took place on Friday morning at the Tata Steel Company premises.
A Tata Steel spokesperson, in a statement mentioned, that Om Prakash Singh was conducting routine water leakage checks with two colleagues at Iron Making Mechanical Maintenance of ‘C’ Blast Furnace. During the inspection, he encountered a vent valve leak on the bustle main and climbed a staircase to assess the situation. Unfortunately, he became unconscious and fell on the platform, resulting in minor injury.
The injured contract worker was rushed to TMH Hospital for treatment where he is undergoing treatment under the supervision of doctors. Om Prakash’s leg has sustained burn injuries.
Singh is currently receiving treatment at TMH Jamshedpur, where his condition is stable. The medical team expects his discharge soon.
