Ranchi: Excitement is in the air as Ranchi gears up to host the FIH Olympic Qualifiers starting from Saturday, January 13. The Jaipal Singh Munda Astroturf Stadium in Marang Gomke, Morabadi, will witness intense battles among women’s teams from eight countries, including India. The tournament, running until January 19, holds significant stakes, with the top three teams qualifying for the Olympics scheduled to be held in Paris later this year.
The participating teams have been divided into two pools, setting the stage for a highly competitive tournament. India will kick off its campaign in Pool B against the United States on Saturday, January 13, with the match scheduled to start at 7:30 pm. Prior to this, a clash between Germany and Chile will take place at 12:00 noon. Following that, the teams of Japan and the Czech Republic will face each other in a match starting at 2:30 pm. The action-packed day will conclude with a face-off between New Zealand and Italy at 5:00 pm.
