Jamshedpur, September 29: History-sheeter Vikas Kana alias Vikas Sahu, was shot dead in broad daylight near Darbhanga Dairy in the Ulidih police station area on Sunday morning around 11 am. Two bike-borne assailants fired multiple shots at Kana while he was riding a scooty. Kana, a resident of Shiv Line in the Ulidih police station area, succumbed to his injuries shortly after the attack.

According to eyewitnesses, the attackers managed to escape the scene while brandishing weapons. They fled the area on their bike immediately after committing the crime. Upon receiving information about the incident, police personnel reached the spot and began their investigation. Footage from CCTV cameras installed nearby was being examined to help identify and trace the suspects involved in the killing.
After being shot, Vikas Sahu was rushed to MGM Hospital by the police for treatment. Doctors declared him dead on arrival. Police officials confirmed that Vikas Sahu alias Vikas Kana had a history of criminal activities and was known as a history-sheeter in the region.
Mango police station in-charge, Niranjan Kumar, who arrived at the scene after receiving information, shared details about the incident. He stated, “We received information that a young man had been shot near Darbhanga Dairy. Upon reaching the spot, we found him lying in a blood-soaked state. With the help of local residents, we took him to MGM Hospital, but he was declared dead during treatment.”
Initial reports indicated that Vikas Sahu alias Vikas Kana was shot at close range by the two assailants. The police were investigating the motive behind the murder and were scanning CCTV footage to identify the criminals.
