Jamshedpur: Political Rivals Dine Together at Hind Ekta’s Litti Party to Promote Social Harmony

Jamshedpur: Promoting a message of unity and social harmony, the Hind Ekta Social Organization hosted a high-profile get-together and traditional ‘Litti party’ at the G.P. Club House in Kadma on Tuesday. The event served as a rare neutral ground, bringing together influential figures from across the political and social spectrum of Jamshedpur.

The gathering, spearheaded by organization president Simran Bhatia, saw a massive turnout featuring hundreds of representatives from rival political factions, including the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM), Congress, and the BJP. Despite their political differences, attendees converged with the shared objective of fostering mutual brotherhood and goodwill within the city.

A Confluence of Political and Social Dignitaries

The event was marked by the presence of several high-ranking officials and community leaders, reflecting the organization’s broad reach. Notable attendees included:

  • Political Leaders: Former Ghatshila MLA Laxman Tudu, Minority Commission Chairman Hidayatullah Khan, former MP Suman Mahato, District Council Chairperson Bari Murmu, and former BJP Metropolitan President Dinesh Kumar.
  • Community Representatives: Jharkhand Gurdwara Committee President Sardar Shailendra Singh, Sakchi Gurdwara President Nishant Singh, and Central Sikh Naujawan Sabha President Amrik Singh.
  • Social & Legal Figures: Social workers Jyoti Singh and Chanchal Bhatia, advocate Kulwinder Singh, and Sanatan Utsav Samiti founder Chintu Singh.

The diversity of the guest list—ranging from JMM youth leader Sunny Singh to veteran Congress leader Nattu Jha—underscored the event’s success in bridging communal and ideological divides.

Celebrating Regional Tradition

The program concluded on a high note with a communal feast featuring the regional staple, Litti-Chokha. Guests praised the organizers for using traditional culinary heritage as a medium to facilitate dialogue and strengthen social ties.

By hosting this annual gathering, the Hind Ekta Social Organization continues to reinforce its role as a catalyst for peace and cooperation among Jamshedpur’s diverse residents.
