Hill Top School wins Frank Anthony debate at KPS Kadma

Jamshedpur, July 17: Hill Top School was adjudged the ‘Best Team’ at the Frank Anthony Memorial All India Inter-School Debate Championship Category II, Stage I hosted by Kerala Public School (KPS) Kadma on Monday. Ispat English Medium School, Rourkela was the first runner-up team.

The Best speaker award went to Shanu Kumar of Hill Top School followed by Romit Bose also from Hill Top School.

Earlier, the day started with the Director of the School, Sharat Chandran lighting the lamp along with the other Judges, Chairperson and the Principal of the School, Sharmila Mukherjee. The Chairperson for the day was Dr. Anita Gupta, Prof. of English and Principal of Jamshedpur Womens College.

The Judges were Prof. Dilbagh Singh Broca from XLRI, Dr. Sunil Nandwani, physician , Mercy Hospital and a speaker on life issues and the third Judge was Ms. Zarine Modi, an Ex faculty of English at Beldih Church and Loyola School.

Twenty participants from ten schools of Jamshedpur, Rourkela, Ranchi, Jajpur etc participated in the event.

The 1st Runner-up Team and the winning team qualified for the Regional Level, Stage Ė II.

The vote of thanks was conferred by the Co – ordinator, Jatinder Kaur.
