Jamshedpur: Members of Indian Trade Union Congress (Intuc) welcomed the newly-elected office-bearers of the state and district Youth Congress committees at Kuli Road, Zakirnagar, Mango, on Monday. They felicitated the Youth Congress leaders with bouquets after garlanding them on their arrival in the city.
Addressing the gathering at the felicitation function, district Intuc president Riyaz Khan said the election of the new leaders of Youth Congress would give a fillip to the party�s activities in the state. He said the Youth Congress members would ensure the party�s victory in the upcoming Assembly and Lok Sabha elections.
Those felicitated on the occasion included state secretary Rakesh Sahu, Ashish Mukhi, Aruna Mukhi, Shafiqur Rahman, Shankar Mukhi, Naushad, Sonu, Rohit Sharma and Kanu Mukhi.
Rakesh Sahu, in his address, said the Youth Congress would play a pivotal role in the elections. He said the youth force was a formidable entity in the current political scenario of the country. He said the senior party leaders should repose their unwavering faith in the Youth Congress members.
Among those present on the occasion included Shahid Iqbal, Shilawati Kujur, Sandhya Devi, Shanti Devi, Jaswant Singh, Shahid Akhtar, Irshad Khan and Rishikesh.
