Ranchi, July 6: Chief Minister Hemant Soren has sought relief from Ranchi Civil Court in the ED summons contempt case.
A petition has been filed on behalf of the CM requesting exemption from physical appearance. The matter was heard today. Now the matter will be heard on July 15. During the hearing in the court today, ED has sought time to file a reply. Which has been accepted by the court.
The court has prima facie accepted that Hemant Soren has disobeyed ED summons. In fact, ED had issued summons to Hemant Soren 10 times in the case related to land scam. But Hemant Soren appeared on only two summons. He did not appear before the agency on eight summons.
