Jamshedpur, Sept 12: Union Minister for Tribal Affairs Arjun Munda lambasted Jharkhand Mukti Morcha leaders for misleading the Adivasis of Jharkhand for sheer political gains and vested interests. He said former Chief Minister and JMM executive president Hemant Soren was the first to have tampered with the Chhota Nagpur Tenancy (CNT) Act. Now the JMM leader is trying to win the trust of people by telling them that the BJP tampered with the decades old law, he said.
Addressing a block level Pravas Sammelan organized by the BJP in Kisan Bhavan at Kuchai, Munda said the JMM had done nothing for the Adivasis. He said he had the responsibility of protecting the Jal, Jungle and Zameen of Adivasis. He said most of the development projects started in Seraikela-Kharsawan and other parts of Kolhan were started during his tenure.
Munda said very soon Eklavya Adash Vidyalaya would be opened for Adivasi children in Kuchai.
Among other dignitaries present during the programme included former MLA Mangal Soy, state BJP spokesperson JB Tubid, district BJP president Udai Singhdeo, Meera Munda, Pradip Singhdeo, Krishna Soy, Dulal Swansi and Satyendra Kumhar.
