Jamshedpur : Senior Congress leader Dr. Ajoy Kumar on Thursday extended congratulations to the ministers who took oath in Chief Minister Hemant Soren’s cabinet. Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Ajoy expressed confidence in the newly-formed India Alliance government, asserting that it would fulfill the aspirations and expectations of Jharkhand’s 3.5 crore people while steering the state towards development.
Dr. Ajoy emphasized the government’s commitment to the all-around development of marginalized communities, including the poor, women, and youth. “This government is dedicated to bringing public welfare schemes to fruition and has already started working in the public interest,” he stated. He further assured that the coming days would witness significant efforts aimed at the overall progress and prosperity of the state’s citizens.
The Congress leader also criticized the Modi-led central government, accusing it of fostering religious divisions to distract people from pressing issues like inflation, unemployment, education, and healthcare. “While farmers across the nation are agitating for their rights, the Modi government is busy creating religious frenzy and sensationalizing issues like temple-mosque controversies,” he remarked.
Dr. Ajoy also highlighted the plight of Hindus facing atrocities in Bangladesh, criticizing the Modi government for remaining silent on the issue. “This reflects the BJP’s double standards,” he added, calling out what he described as hypocrisy in addressing national and international concerns.
