Heavy rain alert in East Singhbhum, Seraikela-Kharsawan on October 5

Ranchi: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted heavy to very heavy rain in eight districts of Santal Parganas and Kolhan divisions of Jharkhand.

The IMD has issued a yellow alert in these districts on October 5. The regional weather office scientist Abhishek Anand said that there will be heavy rain in Sahibganj, Pakur and Godda of Santal Parganas. Heavy rain alert has also been issued in Dumka, Deoghar and Jamtara. People have been advised to remain alert.

There will also be heavy rain in Seraikela-Kharsawan and East Singhbhum. The IMD has advised people not to leave their homes unless absolutely necessary.

The weather office has forecast the possibility of thunderstorm along with rain. People have been appealed not to leave their homes during heavy rains. Farmers have been advised that if they have planted vegetables, they should pluck them and keep them.
