Jamshedpur: The East Singhbhum district administration has ordered drinking water facilities at government offices and public spaces to counter the intense heatwave sweeping the region.
Deputy Commissioner Rajiv Ranjan instructed all departments and office heads to set up clean drinking water facilities for the general public. The administration ordered officials to guarantee water availability at government offices, residential complexes, public parks, major intersections, markets, and crowded public zones to prevent shortages during the heatwave.
The Deputy Commissioner issued instructions for the repair of all non-functional hand pumps and water towers in both urban and rural areas without delay, ensuring an uninterrupted supply during peak summer. For areas facing acute scarcity, the administration directed officials to deploy water tankers.
