Jamshepur: Potka MLA Sanjeev Sardar on Saturday inspected the Ghaghidih and Giddijhopri areas to review the progress of the prominent Bagbeda Rural Water Supply Scheme under Jamshedpur block.
Accompanied by Bhagirath Kumar from the drinking water department and other officials, the MLA reviewed the progress of pipeline laying, domestic connections, and civil construction. He instructed officials to expedite all pending work.
During the inspection, Sanjeev Sardar stated that a recent departmental meeting had set a strict deadline of June 15 to commission the Bagbeda Rural Water Supply Scheme. He explained that he is personally conducting ground inspections to ensure the work matches the scheduled timeline. The MLA issued clear directives to the officials to execute all remaining tasks on a war footing so that residents receive clean drinking water at the earliest. He added that the mega project would bring massive relief to villagers who have been facing a severe drinking water crisis for years.
The MLA emphasized that the Bagbeda Rural Water Supply Scheme is one of the most critical infrastructure projects in the region, prompting his continuous and direct monitoring. He asked the technical team to immediately report any administrative or technical bottlenecks so they could be resolved without delay. He further stated that the Hemant Soren government is working seriously to strengthen rural infrastructure, and this water supply scheme stands as a prime example of that commitment.
Assistant Engineer Shiv Kumar, Junior Engineer Rahul Tudu, JMM leaders, local public representatives, and a large number of party workers accompanied the MLA during the field inspection.
