Heat wave alert in Jamshedpur from Wednesday

Jamshedpur, April 23: For the second consecutive day, Jharkhand, including the Kolhan region, experienced cloudy weather on Tuesday, offering a mix of sunshine and shade across the state. Despite the cloud cover, Godda district recorded the highest maximum temperature on Tuesday. In specific areas, temperatures soared, with Jamshedpur reaching 40.8 degrees Celsius, Godda at 42.9 degrees Celsius, Baharagora at 41.7 degrees Celsius, Seraikela at 41.8 degrees Celsius, and West Singhbhum at 39.3 degrees Celsius.

Anticipating a rise in temperatures, a yellow alert for a heat wave has been issued for East Singhbhum, West Singhbhum, and Seraikela-Kharsawan districts of the Kolhan division starting Wednesday. This advisory aims to alert residents to take precautions against the impending heat wave conditions, emphasizing the importance of staying hydrated and avoiding prolonged exposure to the sun.
