Jamshedpur, July 31: State health minister Banna Gupta on Friday carried out a surprise inspection at the Khasmahal-based� Sadar Hospital in the outskirts of Steel City.
Along with East Singhbhum civil surgeon Dr. RN Jha, the health minister went around various departments to ensure that doctors and other employees were on duty. He spoke to the doctors in length and enquired about their problems and concerns.

He also went to the hospital’s canteen to taste the food (meals ) given to patients . He looked satisfied with the quality of food at the canteen. On Thursday, the health minister at a meeting at the local Circuit House reviewed arrangements

Gupta also gave instructions to increase the corona testing being done at the present time. He told that with more and more tests will be conducted and reach more infections among patients and will be able to treat them. He informed that soon the number of machines will be increased so that more testing can be done.
The Minister directed the Deputy Commissioner, East Singhbhum that if any hospital does not treat patients, then they must act on such hospital and cancel its license and register an FIR. He told that the hospitals should not just think of the profits, they would not let them escape from responsibility.
