Jamshedpur, July 31: A Python reported to have been rescued near Pardih Sahara City complex this morning.�As news about sighting a snake spread�in the locality, local resident Amit Mahato informed about the incidence to Jharkhand Animal Welfare Society (JAWS) member Akash Dey and Utkarsh Kashyap.
Thereafter both the activists reached the spot and grabbed the snake under stiff vigil. Post which the people breathed a sigh of relief.

After catching the snake, the team informed about the incidence to District Forest Officer and on his direction the snake was taken to Tata Zoo wherein the veterinarian Dr. M. Palit administered the first aid. Post which the serpent was handed over. The zoo officials also handed a cobra to JAWS team. Later, both the snakes were released in Dalma forest. The Jharkhand Animal Welfare Society has been working for the welfare of animals in the city since 1995. During the recent lockdown the society fed stray animals all over the city.
