Hazaribagh: Hazaribagh bade farewell to martyr Captain Karamjit Singh Bakshi who died in an IED blast in Jammu and Kashmir.
There was hardly any square or intersection in the city where people did not shower flowers.

The mortal remains of Captain Karamjit Singh Bakshi, who was martyred in Jammu Kashmir, reached his ancestral home. During the Captain’s last respect journey, the city’s establishments remained closed. People from every section of the society saluted the brave martyr along the way. Tributes were paid to the brave at every place.
The last journey reached Muktidham via the prescribed route. Where the martyr was saluted by army personnel and local police personnel. After that, his last rites were performed. His father lit the funeral pyre.

A large number of people from the district administration including Hazaribagh Deputy Commissioner Nancy Sahay, SP Arvind Kumar Singh, Sadar MLA Pradeep Prasad participated in the last journey. A large number of people from the Sikh community were present at Muktidham during the last rites.
Secretary of Guru Singh Sabha of Sikh community Devendra Singh Bagga said that martyrs always remain alive in the hearts. The son of the Sikh community has given the supreme sacrifice for the country.

Karamjit Singh Bakshi was to get married on April 5. He was in Hazaribagh 10 days ago to prepare for it. After the marriage was fixed, he went to Kashmir on duty. According to the family, the marriage rituals were to be performed on March 29 in Hazaribagh. After this, the marriage was fixed on the 5th in Jammu.
