Handcart puller whose supply was cut 2 months back gets Rs 32K bill in Chatra

Chatra: Strange are the ways of Jharkhand State Electricity Department. It has done amazing work in Tandwa block of Chatra district which has made it a hot topic of discussion these days. The department has handed over a bill of Rs 32,000 to a handcart driver Aditya Prasad Chaurasia without supplying even a unit of electricity.

The victim said that complaints were made several times in the Chatra office of the Electricity Department, but to no avail. He said that his electricity connection was disconnected about two months ago. In such a situation, when there is no electricity connection, how did the bill of thousands of rupees come? The victim says that it is difficult for him to pay such a huge amount of electricity bill.

The sufferer barely sustains himself and his family by driving a handcart. In such a situation, it is beyond his capacity to pay such a huge bill sent by the Electricity Department.
