Guru Purnima celebrated at BDSL Saraswati Shishu Vidya Mandir

Ghatshila, July 20: Guru Purnima festival was celebrated at Baldev Das Santlal Charity Trust’s Saraswati Shishu Vidya Mandir in Ghatshila on Saturday. The event was graced by Tulsi Prasad Thakur, the Department Head of the Jamshedpur zone of Vidya Bharti School and Vidya Vikas Samiti Jharkhand. Thakur, along with the school’s Managing Committee Chairman Satyanarayan Jain, Secretary Praveen Kumar Agarwal, Committee Member Raja Karmakar and School Principal Lakhanlal Karmali, jointly lit the ceremonial lamp and offered flowers to the portrait of Maharishi Ved Vyas while performing the Guru Poojan ritual.

Students performed Guru Pujan and pledged to follow the path shown by their Guru. A cultural program featured young children singing melodious songs based on Guru Bhakti and performing dances.

Tulsi Prasad Thakur addressed the students, encouraging them to follow the guidance of their Gurus and strive to become ideal students. School Secretary Praveen Kumar Agarwal and Principal Lakhanlal Karmali urged the students to adhere to the teachings of their Gurus and parents, promoting a cultured and well-rounded life. School Acharyas Purushottam Pandey and Vivekanand Pathak elaborated on the significance of the Guru’s glory.

The program concluded with the honoring of teachers and staff by the school management committee who presented them with clothes. Senior Acharya Chanda Mukherjee conducted the event.

To enhance skill development and promote self-reliance among students, the school inaugurated a new Robotics Class, in collaboration with Robotech company. School Secretary, Principal, and committee members, introduced this initiative. The classes will be conducted by Subroto Mahapatra, director of the Robotic Class, and his team of experts from Bengaluru. The aim is to equip students with skills for self-employment after completing Class 10.
