Jamshedpur, July 20: Bank of Baroda’s Regional Office in Jamshedpur commemorated the 117th Foundation Day with a series of community-focused events. Two hundred staff members participated in a walkathon that commenced from the Jubilee Park to mark the Bank’s green initiative and promote environmental protection among citizens. Various Bank products were displayed during the event.
A portrait BoB Founder, Maharaja Sir Sayaji Rao Gaekwad III was garlanded in tribute in the presence of Regional Head, Jamshedpur Region, Mr. Manish Prakash Sinha, Deputy Regional Head, Mr. Sunil Kumar Saha, other executives, and staff members. Saffron and while coloured balloons were released and a celebratory cake was cut to mark the occasion.
A free health check-up camp, courtesy, Brahmanand Narayana Multispeciality Hospital, was organized for staff, their families, and customers. In addition, a blood donation camp saw enthusiastic participation from staff members. A painting competition for the children of staff members was also organized during the Foundation Day celebrations.
Various programs were organized under the Bank’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives from July 18. These included the installation of a 2000-liter water tank and three-seater chairs at Jamshedpur Birla Mandir, tree plantations, and the donation of computers and chairs to KV Tatanagar and Madrasi Madhya Vidyalaya. The region’s branches participated in planting approximately 500 trees and distributed books, tiffin boxes, bags, writing material, fans, tables, coolers, and chairs to needy schools. Ten national and international level athletes from the city were honored at the regional office under the theme ‘Champion’s Honor’.
The celebration also marked the inauguration of three new branches at Parsudih, Dimna, and an SME branch. The inaugurations were graced by special guests Mukul Vinayak Choudhary, Chief Sports, Tata Steel and CEO JFC, and Vijay Anand Moonka, President, Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce and Industry, along with the Regional Head and Deputy Regional Head.
