Guru Gobind Singh High School Telco hosts 18th annual sports competition

Jamshedpur: Guru Gobind Singh High School, Telco celebrated 18th annual sports competition with great zeal, featuring a series of athletic events, cultural performances, and exciting displays of talent. The event was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, school chairman Gurinder Singh Ahuja, along with Guest of Honor Santosh Singh and Principal Pushpa Pandey, who marked the occasion by releasing balloons.

The festivities began with a torch race led by special runners and school athletes, symbolizing the spirit of sportsmanship. Students from nursery to Class 10 participated in various competitions, showcasing their skills and determination. Notable events included Tug-of-War, martial arts demonstrations, yoga performances, and captivating drills by both primary and high school students.

A welcome dance and colorful drills added to the vibrancy of the day. Winners of the cross-country race organized by Tata Motors on August 31 were also felicitated during the event.

The school honored its top performers with medals and merit certificates, celebrating their achievements in sports. The event was coordinated by sports teacher Virendra Kumar Mishra, martial arts coach Sunil Prasad, and yoga coach Niranjan Kumar.

The occasion was graced by members of the school’s teaching staff, the School Management Committee, Telco Gurudwara Management Committee, Naujwan Sikh Sabha, and Stree Satsang Committee, all of whom contributed to the event’s success.

The celebration concluded with appreciation for the collective efforts of teachers and organizers, who ensured the event was a grand success. Sports teacher Virendra Kumar Mishra expressed gratitude to all participants and supporters for their enthusiasm and collaboration.
