Emerald House emerges overall champion at D.B.M.S. Kadma High School’s 19th Annual Sports Day

Jamshedpur, Dec 20: Emerald House claimed the Overall Championship Trophy at the 19th Annual Sports Day of D.B.M.S. Kadma High School, held at the J.R.D. Sports Complex on December 20. Sapphire House secured the runners-up position, while also earning the title of the Most Disciplined House.

The event began with the arrival of the Chief Guest, Purnima Mahato, an International Archery Coach at Tata Steel and recipient of the Padma Shri and Dronacharya Awards. She declared the Sports Meet open and inspired the students with her motivational speech on the importance of sports in personal development.

National-level players from the school proudly carried the torch, and Ayush Raj, the Sports Minister, administered the sportsman’s oath. The vibrant drills, including the Dance Drill, Christmas Drill, Emojis Drill, Petals in Motion, and Umbrella Drill, mesmerized the audience with their creativity and energy.

The students participated in a wide range of athletic events, from fun-filled junior activities like “Balance the Ball” and “Getting Ready for School,” to senior events such as Shot Put, 100m, 200m, and 400m races, Relay races, and Tug-of-War.

Winners across categories were awarded medals and certificates. Notable individual awards included: Best Athlete Sub-Junior Boys: Raj Singh (Emerald House), Best Athlete Sub-Junior Girls: Dhara Mahato (Emerald House), Best Athlete Junior Boys: Arush Das (Ruby House) & Himanshu Mahato (Topaz House), Best Athlete Junior Girls: Sakshi Sahu (Topaz House), Best Athlete Senior Boys: Mayank Dheebar (Ruby House), Best Athlete Senior Girls: Sumona Isha Mandal (Emerald House)

Topaz House won the Trophy for Best March Past, while Sapphire House was lauded for its discipline.

The event concluded with applause for the Sports Coordinator, Suprava Panda, and her team for organizing a grand celebration of athletic talent and team spirit.
