Jamshedpur, July 4: Panic gripped the Namda Basti area near the Gurdwara in Golmuri late Thursday night after gunshots were fired at a local woman’s residence. The incident took place at the house of Kiran Kaur, who reported that the attacker, identified as Langar, fired multiple rounds before fleeing.
Kiran Kaur told police that earlier that day, a dispute had occurred between Langar and his brother. She had informed the police about it in advance. She suspects that the late-night attack was retaliation stemming from that altercation. CCTV footage clearly shows the accused walking toward her house waving a pistol.
Following the incident, Golmuri police arrived promptly and launched a thorough investigation. They recovered two empty cartridges from the scene. Security in the area has since been intensified and police are actively searching for the accused.
Station in-charge stated that all possible angles are being examined and assured that the accused will be apprehended soon.
