“Two Bins Per Shop” campaign intensified in Jamshedpur

Mail News Service

Jamshedpur, July 4: Under the “Safai Apnao, Bimari Bhagao” initiative, a special enforcement drive was conducted in the Bistupur Khau Gali Market by the Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee (JNAC) under the guidance of the Deputy Municipal Commissioner.

Despite prior notices, several shops were found without wet-dry waste segregation bins or using banned single-use plastics. As a result, penalties totalling over Rs 30,000 were imposed.

Shopkeepers were made to pledge support for cleanliness and adopt the “Two Dustbins Per Shop” model — one for wet waste and one for dry — to create a zero-waste marketplace.
