Jamshedpur, Jan 6: GST department officials are carrying out raids at the house of city-based scrap trader, Vicky Bhalotia in Jugsalai on Wednesday.
According to reports, a complaint had come with the GST department about Vicky Bhalotia filing ITC using forged GST bills.

Earlier, Vicky Bhalotia was arrested by Durgapur (Bengal) police on December 15 in the same case. However, only three days later Vicky managed to get bail in the case and he returned back to Jamshedpur.
However, the Jamshedpur based central GST office got clues about forged GST bills and started making preparations for raiding the units of the scrap trader. The Bengal police had arrested Vicky for making forged bills worth Rs 1.5 crore and a case had been lodged at Durgapur thana by a Bokaro based trader Ankit Mittal. Since the case pertained to Durgapur the police swooped at the Jugsalai residence of Vicky and took him with them.

On Wednesday, Jamshedpur unit of GST officials started a raid at his Naya Bazar, Jugsalai residence from 11 am which continued till the filing of the report at 10 pm. Earlier too Vicky Bhalotia has been accused of filing forged ITC.
