Jamshedpur: A one-day training cum orientation programme was held for the Gram Pradhans, Ghatwals and Tavedars of East Singhbhum at XLRI Auditorium on Sunday.
Addressing the gathering, Deputy Commissioner Amit Kumar said greater awareness about government schemes can prove beneficial in their implementation. Gram Pradhans play an important role in rural societies. If they inform people about the benefits of government schemes, people would be motivated to avail the same, he said.
The DC informed the Gram Pradhans about �dial 108� ambulance facility. He said the villagers may avail ambulance services by just dialing the number 108. He said the villagers should be informed about the facility.
